Welcome to Twisted Pistol, home of the "pretty & gritty" leatherwork.

Twisted Pistol started as a side hustle to allow me to further develop my creative tendencies in a new medium - leatherwork was a craft that has intrigued me for as long as I can remember. But I was always too gun shy to bite the bullet and I never had the opportunity to pursue it until I received a lovely starter kit from Tandy as a gift and things just blew up from there. I had found a creative outlet that allowed me to utilize so many different skills I had acquired in various other crafts including sewing, woodwork, watercolour and oil painting. It honestly is the best collaboration of processes. 

The namesake for Twisted Pistol will occasionally pop up on some of my social media platforms and you cannot miss them, in particular one big, sassy, palomino mare the glorious... the bodacious... Twist! And the second half of my business comes from the solid and sturdy miss Pistol, one of my beautiful red Shorthorn cows. The combination of the two embody my goal as a maker, flashy and dependable leading to to my slogan of "pretty & gritty". Be classy enough to go show pen and tough enough to get the job done. 

Being raised on a dairy and beef operation in central Alberta instilled early on to do the best work that you can. Quality should always be priority and this is what I strive for with each item I build. The goal is to create pieces that you are proud to use for years to come, pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
